Job description

  • Provide a comprehensive call centre agent function related to receiving and dispatching calls, registering complaints and providing feedback to customers
  • Reach and exceed goals set by the municipality
  • Enhance customer service experience in a professional and polite manner
  • Ensure compliance with the municipality’s service charter, and turn-around times on complaints
  • Perform any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management from time to time

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12
  • Call Centre Support/Contact Centre and Business Process Support National Certificate (NQF Level 3)
  • Fully Bi-Lingual (Afrikaans/English and one local language viz. IsiZulu or Sesotho)
  • Computer Literate
  • Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage
  • Excellent communication, telephone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Passionate, motivated and friendly individual
  • Attention to detail, office management and excellent administration skills
  • Knowledge of the Midvaal Local Municipality and municipal area will be a strong recommendation.
  • 2-years relevant experience in call centre/customer service or similar pressurised environment dealing with complaints and inquiries, will be an added advantage
  • Candidates that apply should note that the post is a shift position, times of shifts are:
  • Day Shift:    06:00 to 14:00
  • Afternoon:  14:00 to 22:00
  • Candidates must reside within the jurisdiction of Midvaal Local Municipality
  • Candidates must be able to travel to and from Midvaal Local Municipality
